adopted this bench on our first night and had tended to occupy it until approximately 1am each night, despite our daily good intentions of an early night and also the unrealistic intention of remembering where we had parked the hire car, clutching roast chestnuts and coffee ‘our bench’ was the perfect view point as Golega played out it’s festival story. We really quite simply didn’t want to leave. Returning to Lisbon Airport on the Sunday we noted the


absence of the dressage rider at the car hire company, we hope that he made Golega and had as wonderful atime as we did. Now home to confess to Durante about my night at the Horse Disco with the beautiful Lusitano Estrunfe......
