or the college’s while some belong to commercial customers who bring them for the unrivalled range of combined rehabilitation therapies Moulton offers. Uniquely among academic institutions, the college has an aqua treadmill, a swimming lane, acold water spa and asolarium, all under one roof. Moulton believes in providing solid
real-world experience for its equestrian students. Dealing with real customers in a real commercial environment prepares them fully for their chosen careers in yard management, equine rehabilitation, event management and coaching &training. The college runs avariety of
recognised full- and part-time courses for further (post-16) and higher education equestrian students, with horse management diplomas accredited by Pearson and foundation or BSc degrees by nearby Northampton University. Diploma students can followrehabilitation and therapy, jumping or dressage pathways while degree courses cover equine therapies or performance and coaching. Moulton’s students appreciate
the college’s combined practical and academic learning. Undergraduate Kellie Cooke, who has aLevel2Diploma in Horse Care and aLevel 3Extended Diploma in Rehabilitation and Therapy from Moulton, found her training invaluable for her Equine Sports Science
orning stables are in full swing as staff and students prepare their livery
degree at Nottingham Trent University, where she is in her second year. She comments: “Both my courses
gave me afundamental knowledge of all areas from basic equine anatomy and behaviour to nutrition. Ican honestly say howmuch Ihave drawn on the practical and academic skills Ilearnt at Moulton.” There’s plenty for riders and
equestrian students to do, too: Moulton’s Pitsford site is an approved British Horse Society training and examination centre and is as well-equipped as you’d expect. Apart fromthe therapy suite its abundant facilities include a60 x40-metre covered riding area with spectator seating, changing facilities, aclothing shop and a judges’ area, two additional outdoor arenas (60 x25 metres and 40 x20 metres), across-country course and a schooling field for novice horses and riders, plus various hacking routes throughout the college’s 1,150 acre estate. This scope makes Moulton a
great host for affiliated British Dressage and British ShowJumping competitions, as well as many British Riding Club events and unaffiliated competitions. The college has its own established dressage and showjumping academy, and students compete in the events run at the college. Students receive the same five star
care as the horses. Accommodation is modern, comfortable and secure, with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and gym membership as well as catering, parking and laundry facilities. Formoreinformationaboutequestrian studiesatMoultonCollegeplease
