Stokke celebrates with Annabel Karmel
Leading nursery brand Stokke recently got together with a group of press and influencers to celebrate 45 years of the iconic Tripp Trapp chair with an informal conversation with food guru Annabel Karmel MBE and Irish TV presenter Karen Koster. Family life around the
table is the core concept of the Tripp Trapp® chair that, since launching back in 1972, has sold over ten million units worldwide. Tripp Trapp® is also widely regarded as a design icon in its own right and can be found on permanent display in MoMA, the V&A & the Design Museum. At the get-together, Annabel talked about her journey from first-time
mum to internationally renowned author. ‘It never crossed my mind that I would become a cook,’ she said, ‘but I
wanted to give my baby the best food possible. If my children hadn’t been fussy eaters, I wouldn’t have a business now, so I have to thank them for challenging me! Follow your instincts and don’t be afraid to try new things, there’s no textbook! Bring your child to the table to eat with you and your family, make mealtimes fun.’
Why shouldn’t you wear silk? The cot that grows with your child
The Babylo Ella bot bed is the perfect cot bed to grow with your child and its beautiful white painted finish will complete any nursery. This traditionally-styled cot bed is suitable from birth and has protective teething rails fitted along the side rails, fixed sides and three mattress base, which allows you to easily lift your baby in and out when it’s very young, and then to lower the base as your child learns to sit and stand. Once your toddler is ready – usually around 18 months/two years - the cot bed can be converted into a toddler bed. Available from most leading nursery stores.

Another classic from Willow Tree
Willow Tree is renowned for its collection of unique sculptures that reflect family members. The latest addition to the figurines is My New Baby, which depicts two children – an older sibling embracing and a new- born baby – while curled up on a comfy beanbag. It is the unspoken presentation of both possession and pride for an older child welcoming a new baby into the family.
