It might still be months away, but the earlier you start planning your summer fair, the more successful it’s likely to be. We’ve put together a few pointers to give you a head start

 Give companies the chance to sponsor certain stalls or attractions


in exchange for displaying their logo on the stall. Identify businesses with natural links to that stall, for example a beauty salon might sponsor your face painting, or a local pub could support your beer tent. If you do have good links with a printer then negotiate getting vinyl banners printed, with costs covered by the sponsor. And invite sponsors to come along to your fair with their families.

Match funding: Many companies offer to match the amount their employees raise


for charity. Find out which local employers offer match funding and send a list of these out to parents, also appealing to them to ask their HR department whether this is something

he potential for your summer fair tends to be limited only by the number of volunteers you can rally and how much time you can commit to planning. Establish your


organising team and agree a date now to get the ball rolling. From there, you can decide on themes, stalls, attractions and, crucially, beat all the other schools to the pots of local sponsorship on offer.

Estate agent boards: Get paid to promote your 

Stalls and attractions Stalls and attractions have two crucial functions: to   stalls aimed at different ages and audiences will attract more people and ensure no-one arrives to  fairgoers can often be amused with a bouncy castle and face painting, older ones require a bit more excitement, and adults need something to keep them entertained, too.
