Ongoing through Nov. 22:
Show our deployed military members that you care by participating in “Be an angel, help a soldier.” Now through Nov 22, you can drop items off at the Donald W. Rey- nolds Library, 300 Library Hill, Mountain Home, that will be put in stockings and sent to soldiers overseas.
Teen librarian TJ McDonald said this is the first year for the drive and the idea came from the Teen Library Council.
“It’s a way to say we appreciate what they (military) are doing and we are thinking about them,” he said.

Items being collected: Slim Jims or beef jerky; packages of holiday nuts; single serv- ing drink mix packets (i.e. Crystal Light); playing cards; puzzle book (Crosswords, Sudoku, Word Find); holiday themed writ- ing pens or pencil; holiday candy (in sealed wrapping or small unopened bags); candy canes; peanut brittle; socks; travel sized games; card games (Uno, Phase 10); stress balls (holiday themed preferred); gloves
