Justin Brown showed Peter & Karen Greig’s horse, Magic Zippo Deck, to win the $450 top prize in the TPEA Yearling Challenge at the Fall Fiesta in Athens in September.
Christian, Azle, will always remember September 20. Showing at the APHA World Show, she was reserve in Novice Amateur Working Hunter, riding Real Me In. Also, during the awards ceremony, boyfriend Nate Lucas surprised her with a wedding proposal in the middle of the arena. She said yes, of course!

Laura Brown, Georgetown, won the $2K Ltd Rider class on
Smart Rey Badger, at NE Alabama CHA’s September 23 show in Rainsville, AL.
Chasity Griffin, Pioneer, LA, won the $2K Ltd Rider class
on Jo Lena Olena at Acadian CHA’s September 24 show in Sul- phur, LA.
Kathleen Clyde Golden, Madisonville, successfully de-
fended her dissertation on September 26! She is receiving her Doctor of Education degree from Texas A&M University in Commerce.
Anna Marie Schreck, Murphy, and My Tachita Lena won
the $2,500 Novice Rider class both September 30 and October 1 at the ACHA/APHA Cowtown Cutting in Fort Worth.
Shelley Grissom and Dun Ben Noticed had a successful
show at Remuda QHA’s West Texas Classic, which offered 5 judges October 6-8 in San Angelo. The due earned the amateur AA title plus 3 circuit championships, for Amateur Perf Geld- ings, Amateur Trail, and Green Western Riding.
Laurie Marie Robbins, Bellville, received acceptance on
October 10, to attend Ole Miss, aka University of MS, next fall. Katherine Peterson, Krum, won the NRCHA Futurity’s
Non-Pro Ltd championship October 11, on Dually Judged. It was her first time to compete at the futurity!
