14-15 OCTOBER Norwich Sound & Vision Norwich Arts Centre


Tis year’s Norwich Sound & Vision feats some rad fresh bands playing at the Arts Centre who have all been making waves on the national music scene of late. On Tursday catch girl/boy duo Diet Cig, Friday sees the all-female Te Big Moon hitting the stage, and Saturday it’s Peace, who played two shows, one sold out at Epic a couple years back. Don’t miss an amazing night of local archive film accompanied by local musicians at Te Octagon Chapel. Tere’s also a screening of Girlhood + Q&A on 11th October at Cinema City. If you’re interested in getting into the music industry, make sure you go to the conference on Friday, and enjoy a day of “In Conversation with” well known musicians about their lives and careers on Saturday.

28 OCTOBER Rave-o-Ween Gringo’s Tequila Bar


Rad Times & Mix Mafia are teaming up once again at Gringos for some Halloween themed multi-genre mash up madness super fun party times. Five hours of bass- face-worthy tuneage from local DJ’s in a bespooked venue, free cocktail on entry and an opportunity to wear your most scary stuff? I’m in. 28-29 OCTOBER Zombiefest 3 Mildenhall Stadium


Ooooooh mama. If you want to go all out this Halloween, make tracks to Mildenhall Stadium for the third Zombiefest. Tere’s a rum old line up on offer, including the likes of Pendulum rinsing out a DJ set alongside Baby D, Grooverider, Kenny Ken, Shola Ama, So Solid Crew, and literally a motherload more DJ’s and acts from the worlds of drum n bass and house. Te Devil’s Playground, held in the heart of Zombiefest, will be hosted by four of East Anglia’s finest house promoters. Make sure you have a designated driver sorted or take advantage of the free camping field - it runs 6pm to 6am aka dusk to dawn. Check out the event on their Facebook page.


31 OCTOBER Spooky City Parade City centre


Get the whole family along to the annual Spooky City Parade, running from Chapelfield Gardens to City Hall, with ghoulish activities, entertainment and weird beings to behold. Te parade starts at 6.30pm, with the finale happening outside City Hall at 7.30pm. Can’t wait to see your costumes!

23-28 OCTOBER CAMRA Beer Festival St Andrews Hall


It’s October so it’s time for the 40th Norwich Beer Festival! Choose from over 200 cask-conditioned real ales from Britain’s independent brewers along with draught and bottled beers from Continental Europe, as well as over 70 varieties of traditional ciders and perries, mostly from East Anglia. Te festival opens October 3rd from 5.30-11 and for the rest of the week, 11.30am-2.30pm and 5.30pm- 11pm. You know the drill. See you in there!
