Indulge your inner geek and get your cosplay on at the annual NorCon at the Showground. With displays, exhibits, talks and loads of stalls selling all the treats. Who will you bump into? Daleks? R2D2? Iron Man? Snow White? Who knows. You’ll definitely spy Toyah Willcox, Boba Fett, Rimmer and Percy Weasley who’ll be there to sign your merch. An explosion of fun, colour and uberfans, don’t miss this!

October sees one of the most celebrated dance pieces of its generation performed on the Norwich Teatre Royal stage. Rambert presents Ghost Dances, inspired by the Day of the Dead and featuring the hypnotic rhythms of Latin American music.


It’s followed by dance of a different genre when the high energy Tap Factory returns the following week on Oct 26th and 27th. Tis high-energy show is packed with percussion, poetry, comedy and some amazing tap numbers performed by some of the globe’s top performers. Other highlights for this winter include Love Island favourite, Norfolk’s own Caroline Flack starring alongside Casualty and Strictly’s Tom Chambers and a host of top actor-musicians in Crazy For You Oct 31st- Nov 4th, and the magical Slava’s Snow Show returns on Nov 21st-25th.

Head up to one of bestest places in Norfolk, the Dinosaur Adventure Park for one of the bestest events of the year – PrimEvil……ooooooooh! It’s a truly terrifying affair for brave adults only. Can you bear to wander through the Forest Of Fear, delve into Te Crypt, stay at the Mayhem Manor Hotel or creep into the Carnevil of Terrors? With lovely volunteers becoming not so lovely zombies, clowns and other nightmarish characters, you’d better sleep with the light on when you get home…IF you get home!

Te SCVA are marking the anniversary of the Russian Revolution with a Russian season showing how art and life changed due to the Revolution. Check out Royal Fabergé, exploring the extraordinary glittering saga of the leading artist-jewellers, and Radical Russia, which demonstrates the new approach to art. Visit the exhibition to see ceramics, book covers and definitely don’t miss Tatlin’s Tower, one of the most iconic architectural projects to have been designed in the Soviet era on display near the Sainsbury Centre.
