How come you played your first ever gig in New York? We just thought about where in the world we’d like to play our first ever gig and that was it, so we did it. How did you guys meet, and were you a couple before the band started? We first met each other through Lancaster Music Co-op which is a non profit making rehearsal space and recording studio. David worked there as a recording engineer and my old band Angelica used to practice there and David would record our stuff. Also David was in the garage pop band
Strawberry Girl and later the psych drone outfit 3D Tanx so we were all knocking about together on the same music scene, playing gigs together and hanging about at the co- op causing trouble. So yeah, we were a couple before we started doing Eggs. You had a lot of support from influential radio chaps when your first EP came out in 2008. Marc Riley is an especially big fan. Yeah, we were lucky enough for Marc to get into us and Huw Stephens from Radio 1 was also a fan. Marc has given us loads of support through the years and we’ve lost
