As the cold nights draw in and our energy bills increase, don’t miss out on the East Dorset Energy Switch. You need to register by Monday 9th October, so see the details in the Councillor Report on page 10.
The Broadstone Chamber of Trade & Commerce has started advertising their organisation and events with us this month (pg16). Those who do business in and around Broadstone are more than welcome to attend their social and networking events.
The Win on Waste scheme is also new to the magazine (pg20). It repurposes items that might normally get thrown away and distributes them to community and charity projects. Broadstone Library also has a session each month (next one on Saturday 7th October), and there are plans to set up in Wimborne soon too.
The Broadstone Fireworks Display is a great local community event at the end of October (pg41) and they have plans to make it bigger and better! This time of year can of course be tricky for pet owners, so do see the advice from Hillside Vets on page 21. Hillside Vets is also celebrating its 20th birthday and the team invites you to a celebration evening on 13th October (pg40).
