Isn’t that what we all want?

K

eep Britain Tidy (“KBT”) is an independent environmental charity set up over 60 years ago with three

main goals;

1. eliminate litter; 2. improve local places; and 3. prevent waste.

Jenny Watts has been a Legal Adviser to Keep Britain Tidy for the last 5 years and has worked closely with its members, that

are predominately local authorities, training enforcement teams to tackle rouge operators that off er illegal waste collections and undermine legitimate business, such as skip hire.

KBT understands that it cannot reach all its goals by working alone, so its ethos is to work with businesses, schools, communities, individuals, government (local and national) and other charities and voluntary organisations to address the big challenges.

Rachel Scarisbrick, KBT’s Membership Manager said, “We know that if people care for the environment on their own doorstep – the local park, the street in which they live, the river that runs through their area – then the environment, the community and the individual will all benefi t.”

Keep Britain Tidy is a charity with a wealth of experience and expertise and has worked tirelessly campaigning to eliminate litter, improve local places and prevent waste, so people can ‘love where they live’.

Amy Coulton, KBT’s Training Manager said, “…the Litter and Place Services team off ers a wide range of services and solutions to tackle fl y-tipping, reduce dog fouling, encourage bin use and support local charities whilst reducing litter on the ground.

We also train and develop enforcement offi cers through our much-coveted accredited National Enforcement Academy and off er a range of legal and environmental courses throughout the year across England”.
