ndreas Endters has been appointed as chairman of Voith GmbH’s Group Division, succeeding succeeds Bertram Staudenmaier who will be leaving the company at the end of this year upon his own request.
Andreas Endters joined Voith Paper in Heidenheim in 1995 as head of
sales and marketing for QualiFlex Press Sleeves. In 2000, he was appointed as executive vice president at Voith Paper in Ravensburg; one year later, he became chairman of the Advisory Board. In 2004, Endters was appointed to the board of the Group Division and put in charge of the Business Division Rolls. In 2008, he moved to the management board of the Group Division Voith
Hydro, where he was responsible for the worldwide contract handling of Large Hydro. At the end of 2011, he returned to Voith Paper as a member of the Group Division management, initially in charge of paper machines.
Since October 2012 he has been responsible for the business line projects. Commenting on the appointment, Hubert
Lienhard, chief executive and president of the Management Board of Voith GmbH, said: “Andreas Endters can look back on over 20 years of active work in the company, 19 of them at Voith Paper. His experiences in the Group Division Voith Paper cover the large plant business, the business with rolls and consumables as well as service. Andreas Endters’s most recent activity was the restructuring of the new plant business in the Group Division Voith Paper, which he successfully guided through the far-ranging changes in the paper industry.

Papakostas moves up to become chairman of ETS
Fanis Papakostas, 59, has been appointed chairman of the European Tissue Symposium (ETS) and takes up his role after a year as a vice-chairman. He succeeds Roberto Berardi who stepped down at the end of June after more than 10 years of service and who will continue in an advisory role as an honorary chairman. A specialist in tissue, Papakostas has spent 30 years in professional management and consulting, holding senior roles with Unilever, Beiersdorf and Kimberly-Clark where he has served as general manager for Greece, France, and later was promoted to VP Europe covering the South and Central European countries. Commenting on his appointment, Papakostas said, “ETS undertakes
important work in showcasing the benefits of tissue paper and I look forward to continuing to promote these messages. My activities will continue to aim to add value to what ETS delivers to its member companies, to their customers and of course to the tissue paper product users.” Members of ETS represent the majority of tissue paper producers

Gustavsson becomes head of Voith’s innovation and new business
Catrin Gustavsson has been appointed Head of Innovation and New Business at Södra from the beginning of August. She succeeds Laila Rogestedt and will be a member of Group Senior Management reporting to chief executive Lars Idermark. Gustavsson, 46, was previously head of the process engineering
department at Södra’s pulp mill at Värö, outside Varberg. She has been active in the paper and pulp industry since 1999, both nationally and internationally, and held senior positions in production and technology
development at BillerudKorsnäs, Kvaerner Pulping and Stora Enso. “I am very pleased that we have recruited
Catrin internally,” said Idermark. “Innovation and New Business is a strategic area for Södra’s future, and the unit is responsible for our work with product and process care in our existing market for pulp and sawn wood products, and for developing new products and applications for wood as a raw material.”

Santi moves to PCMC’s sales team in America
Gino Santi has joined the North American-based sales team of Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), a division of Barry- Wehmiller, from PCMC Italia, its operations in Lucca, Italy. In his new role as global sales executive, Santi will serve PCMC’s tissue customers throughout North America, primarily focusing on independent tissue converters. As these customers continue to battle the ever-growing complexities of competing globally, Santi’s years of international experience will offer them an

all-inclusive view of the industry and provide them with the solutions necessary to stand out in the market today. Santi joined PCMC Italia in 2010, and as a sales executive focused on the business development of the Middle and Far East tissue market.
