The Dance Council is thrilled to be able to showcase an excel- lent sampling of our local professional companies. DBDT will feature choreography by new Artistic Director, Bridget Moore, and DBDT: Encore! will present an energetic African dance. DCCD will feature work by its Founding Artistic Director, Joshua Peugh. BWDP will feature a work by its founder, BruceWood. TBT will present a work by Lew Christensen, an early dancer with Balanchine, and long time Artistic Director of the San Francisco Ballet. CBD will present a work by Jillian Davis fromComplexions Contemporary Ballet, and Danielle Georgiou, local choreogra- pher and boundary pusher, is a welcome addition to the DanceFest program!
Both programswill feature a substantial variety ofmodern dance, contemporary dance, classical and contemporary ballet, tap dance, African dance, and Indian dance. Each show is dif- ferent, so be sure to come to both and experience the depth of dance excellence in Dallas! Be sure to save the date for DanceFest 2017, and be a part of Dance Council’s “Celebration of North Texas Dance!”. The Dance Council looks forward to wel- coming you to Dallas City Performance Hall on September 2 & 3 for DanceFest 2017!
