Musée Fabre Montpellier With sculptures, ceramics and paintings, this museum is a treasure trove of artwork spanning several centuries. Famous painters featured include Sébastien Bourdon (himself from Montpellier), seascape specialist Claude- Joseph Vernet and a host of international talent. The museum’s latest exhibition is a tribute to modern artists Francis Bacon and Bruce Nauman, focusing on their portrayals of the human body. This charming establishment in Paris’s 9th arrondissement is both an art and a literary museum, but its appeal also spills over into its pretty little garden and greenhouse. Come

MusVerre Sars-Poteries, near Arras Indulge in a moment of quiet reflection with this exhibition of modern glass art. Since October 2016, the museum has engaged the public in this unique craft, inspiring imaginations in the exceptional setting of Sars- Poteries, northern France. Adorned in local blue stone, and stretching to over 1,000m², the building is the perfect setting for contemporary creations from around the world, as well as bousillés created by the glass-makers of Sars-Poteries between 1802 and 1937.
