Someone attempted to break into a house
in ChallockWalk. No access gained. AYamaha motor cycle parked in Reginald
Road was vandalised, severely damaging the seat. A vehicle parked in Sittingbourne Road
was taken without consent. Ahouse in Grecian Streetwas broken into
and jewellery and other itemswere stolen. Two men were seen cutting down apple
trees at a farm in Upper Fant Road. Agarage in a block in St Luke’s Road was broken into. Nothing appeared to have been taken. A brick was thrown through the window
of a residence in Grecian Street. In Upper Fant Road, a car parked on a
drivewaywas broken into. Sets of keyswere stolen from the vehicle. The rear number plate was stolen from a Nissan Qashqai vehicle in Tonbridge Road. A house was broken into in Upper Fant
Road. A vehicle parked in Florence Road, Fant,
had its roof slashed. Several vehicles in the vicinity were damaged by vandalism and fire.

Planning The parish council’s objection to an application for 210 homes with access off Forstal Lanewas agreed. Speedwatch Therewas a good take-up of volunteers for Speedwatch at the annual parish meeting. Website The parishwebsite had been
receiving about 300 hits perweek. Clerk The outgoing clerk Jan Capon clarified the days of theweek and hours currently worked by the new clerk and herself. She would be stepping down as clerk and taking up the post of responsible financial officer onAugust 1.

Flyers Itwas agreed to set aside £60 for the delivery of flyers for the annual parish meeting and parish council election. Council shed Itwas agreed that the painting would be done in house. The clerk would investigate as to the whereabouts of the parish council-owned preservative. Newsletter Cllr Abigail Hogg summarised her research into newsletters published by other parish councils. Fete Itwas agreed to arrange a meeting of the events committee. Parking actionA meeting datewas arranged to discuss the formation of an action group concerning parking issues in Tovil.
Memorial Itwas suggested that a memorial of some sort be arranged for the murder victim at Crisbrook Meadow. The issue wouldbe put on the agenda for the next meeting.

school bike shed in Oakwood Road. Garden shears were stolen from the lawn
of a property in Hadlow Close. According to reports given locally, two
young maleswere seen to stop their car and pick up gardening equipment from the front lawn. A shed was broken into in Dover Street,
Fant, and a number of items, including lawn mover and gardening equipment were
taken.An attempt to break into another shed at a nearby addresswas unsuccessful. A red off-road MX91 motor cycle was
stolen from a property in The Cherries. A motor vehicle was taken without con-
sent from Queens Road. An industrial yard in Hermitage Lane was broken into and a yellow Indigo HP350W road breaker with 26571 painted on the side
was stolen. Cycles were removed from a residential
car park in High Street. In Upper Stone Street, a blue/green Cube mountain bikewas stolen from where itwas secured to a pole outside a house. An orange bicycle was stolen from where
itwas secured outside the rail station in Sta- tion Road. A Ford S-Max vehicle parked in Oxford
Road, Shepway,was keyed. Jewellery was stolen in a burglary on a
house inWillington Street. A pedal cycle was set alight within a bike shelter in Oxford Gardens. Abicyclewas stolen from a residential car
park in Lower Stone Street. One or more thieves stole bicycles from a
car park in a residential area of the High Street. In Hayle Road, a residential propertywas broken into. Nothing appears to have been taken. In Upper Stone Street, a blue/green Cube mountain bikewas stolen from where itwas secured to a pole outside a residential prop- erty.
