June 3 event in Crowley resulted in high-point champions Layne DuBose (Open/Hannah), Bryan Cook (NP/Royally Smart Ernie), Scott Long (Jr-Horse/Style), Tanner Trahan (Am/Sally), Bettie Fauntleroy (Novice/Vibrant Future), Emie Johnson (14-18/Tessa), and Trinity Moody (14&U/Red Hot Onion).


The NRHA announced on June 7 the


hiring of Leslie Baker, Edmond, OK, as the first executive director of its charitable arm, the Reining Horse Foundation (RHF). She will also work on special NRHA communication projects. She has served the Foundation as a consultant since 2015.

ping Springs, has been and will continue to be a busy place this summer. Jumpers in the Hill Country kicked off June 10 and another one is schedule for August 12. Dressage in the Hill Country held competition June 11 with another coming up August 13. Stock horse/horseman- ship shows will be July 8 and August 19. America’s Horse in Art returns to the


American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Mu- seum, opening August 12 and closing October 14. The 10th annual exhibit will feature the work of more than 40 world-renowned West- ern artists. Art sales will be available online, by telephone at 806.376.5181, or by email at artshow@aqha.org. The sale’s proceeds to to the Museum to support efforts to preserve the history of the American Quarter Horse.
