Circuit has been hosted by NMQHA for over 40 years, and this year’s was held April 27-30 at Albuquerque’s Expo New Mexico. High-point champions were Lastpeaceofpotential (Jr- Horse/Gretchen Swope/Seth Fender), One Royal Image (Sr- Horse/Sandy Brasier/Bridgette Johnson Honea), Will Onlydo The Best (Am/Maggie Moores), Harley Got Potential (Sel-Am/Toni Jean Miller), Zippo Del Oro (L1-Am/Brenda Schlote), A Certain Faith (L1-Youth/Anna Grace Patterson), Zippos Classic Dustr (W/T- L1-Youth/Dakota Honea), Suretoskip (W/T- L1-Am/Sharon McClain), NMSU Love Me Tender (13&U/Yvonne Saavedra), and RC Slick With Jordyn (14-18/Jordyn Troglin).


Taryn Batcheller earned CAQHA’s Never Won A Buckle HP prize at the May 27 Ranch Horse show in Dripping Springs, and Kaila Tomlin took the reserve prize.


Mid-Tex QHA will be 50 years old in


2018 and is quite active. This spring it hosted an open buckle series in Belton, doubled judged on April 29 and single judged June 10. High- point champs June 10 were Frosted In Holly- wood (17&U/Megan McCune), Purely Sensation (18&O/Marrisa Hurst Schurig), and Silky Kiss (Ranch Horse/Lance Wilson).
