ORCHA News June 2017 With so many shows being cancelled due to the weather, ORCHA was fortunate enough
to enjoy a beautiful day for their first show on May 28. We were happy to welcome several new members and plenty of spectators. Our next event will be our annual clinic on June 24 with Craig Black and Jess Cofell.
This clinic will focus on working cattle from beginner to advanced. One spot has just opened up. Awards Policy has been updated to allow Novice Amateur exhibitors who do not own or hold a lease on the horse they are showing to accumulate OPHC points towards year end Novice Amateur awards. If you have ques- tions about this change, any member of the Executive would be happy to speak with you. The Shur-Gain Walk Trot Challenge is back! This fun class is open to all riders and all APHA registered horses and will be held im- mediately following the last Trail class at the June, July & September shows.
