Class Eligibility
gibility is based on the rider’s and/or the horse’s earnings or experience as of January 1 of the current year. NRHA Eligibility levels will be set by the Board of Directors by August 31st of the preceding year for all categories. ORHA eligibility is outlined in the 2017 Rule Book. It is the responsibility of the owner and/or rider to be aware of the official NRHA or ORHA earnings and performance record of the horse and/or rider as recorded by the NRHA or ORHA. When limits of eligibility are surpassed during the show year, the ex- hibitor can complete the year in that specific class or division. Any rider participating in a class or division in which he/she (or the horse he/she is riding) is not eligible will be fined $25 for the first offense. After receipt of the notice, any second offense may result in a fine of $200. For more information on class eligibility as well as the list of those ineligible, visit
www.orha.on.ca/eligibility.
Do you know what classes you and your horse are eligible to compete in? Class Eli-
in Waterford ON; the competitors were not deterred and the show was an excellent start to the 2017 ORHA show season. Hats off to the Show management Fletcher’s Horse World, who went above the call giving horses and riders extra time in the pen between classes as well as managed to provide indoor areas for exhibitors to prepare before entering the pen. Saturday Night’s Pizza Party sponsored by The Purdie’s and the McDougall’s, lead the way to a warmer, dryer Sunday ended the show off on a good note. Congratulations to all the competitors and a huge thank you to Fletcher’s Horse World for another great show! Visit

Although Mother Nature delivered some very wet weather at the Spring Thaw show Board of Directors Meeting Get on the Team is BACK!
The program was created to allow competitors to network and connect with members whom they may not normally mingle with. New this year – participant need only sign up once to be included in the program for the whole year. The week before the show, partic- ipants will be randomly assigned to a team of 3, one team member from each division (Non Pro, Rookie/ Youth and Beginner/Green as Grass). These teams will be posted on the web- site and Facebook. Find out who is on your team, meet up with them at the show, cheer them on during their classes and win points for your team! Visit
www.orha.on.ca for more information on Get on the Team as well as our other
