Farm weighing equipment on show at Cereals
Griffith Elder will be showcas- ing a range of its farm weigh- ing equipment at this month’s Cereals event – including mul- ti-axle and portable weigh- bridges.
New for this year will be a dedicated demonstration area adjacent to the Griffith Elder stand. This will provide visi- tors with the opportunity to have a working demonstra- tion of the new generation of Portable Weigh – Beams com- plete with automatic weighing functionality and fob systems. Built with heavy farm use
in mind, the whole system is welded steel to withstand rough and tumble farm use. Interested customers will be able to see for themselves why these products have built up a reputation for performance and life time reliability.
Port staff raise money for Norfolk hospice
A team of ABP employees from King’s Lynn and Ipswich pulled on their trainers to raise mon- ey for the Norfolk Hospice char- ity by taking part in the Grand East Anglia Run. ABP’s East Anglia ports han- dle more than 2m tonnes of ag- ribulks and commodities annual- ly, including grain. Although the Port of Ipswich is the UK’s lead- ing export port for agricultural products, the port at King’s Lynn is important to the economy in the north of the region.
ABP has taken part in the
run since 2013. Previous years have seen ABP running teams raise funds for Rudham Ward, the Childrens Ward at the local Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and
It is the fourth time that a team from ABP has raced

ABP laboratory and silo opera-
tive Georgia Freeman joining the firm’s running team for the first time this year. She said: “The fact that so many of us care about and engage with the local community is one of the reasons that make
ABP a great place to work.” The GEAR 10K was organ- ised by the not-for-profit compa- ny Run For All, which organises a number of 10K runs across the UK. Norfolk Hopsice, which relies on local people for support, offers care and advice to patients with life-shortening illnesses.
