QF Focus Magazine Meditation
There are many forms of meditation that are practiced throughout the world and it has been performed for hundreds of years. Meditation is about consciousness, and contrary to many thoughts it transcends all religions. We can dive into the heart of the matter to gain access to our soul – our inner reality.
Meditation helps with improved concentration, clearing the mind, allowing more productivity. We also become less bothered by the little things in life. Our minds are very good at magnifying the little things in our lives and making them much bigger.
Meditation helps us to detach and to live in the here and now, instead of worrying about the future or past. We begin to see the bigger picture and fully understand what that means. We also begin to understand our own inner self and therefore gain an understanding of our life's purpose.
When we are meditating our stress levels are reduced and therefore it alleviates anxiety. There have been many studies which show that our health will benefit with less stress. It can improve our blood pressure levels bringing them back to a normal range. We can also benefit from better sleeping patterns when we are meditating on a regular basis.
There are many people who have tried to meditate and have given up. When you learn by yourself it is easy to say you cannot do this. When you learn meditation in small groups and are guided by a teacher, learning becomes more pleasurable and simple to learn.
Meditation can give us inspiration, peace of mind and work becomes far more enjoyable.
