After their first fundraising campaign on behalf of the AECC in Torrevieja in 2015, Rock Against Cancer will return to the stage on Saturday 10th June in Torrevieja. Neil Watt, the owner of Torreveja’s original rock pub-cafe, Monroe’s said “We received great support from musicians and the public in 2015 and we are now looking for more bands, sponsorship and your support for our next Rock Against Cancer concert on June 10th, 2017”.

Already signed up on the bill are local punk band Sensa Yuma, Wild Side, Atlanta Records and RAIS, with others to follow. Any bands wishing to take part should contact Neil directly for more information. The bottom part of Calle Apolo, Torrevieja, will be closed off to traffic for the day, with a huge street party hoping to raise as much money for fighting cancer and raising awareness. The zone is at Calle Apolo 12, beside Monroe’s Music Pub and the AECC office, where a stage will be set, followed by great afternoon and evening of music, fun and laughter, all for a great cause.

Neil added: “We need the support of the public to make this day successful. If any individuals or business would like to help with sponsoring the event, please contact me directly. Sponsorship money goes towards the rent of stage, sound equipment, toilets etc so that the maximum profit from the event goes directly to the AECC and the cancer cause. We look forward to seeing you at the fair.” More details on their dedicated Facebook events page: Rock against Cancer / 2017.
