lthough it felt like Spring was here in February this year, it’s offi cially here now! One thing I love to do in April is give my home and offi ce a spring detox. I do this to get reorganized, get rid of clutter that is bogging down my life and recommit to keeping things simple. Here are three easy tips that I recommend and do every spring and fall.

A

First, clear out the clutter. Pick one room in your house (or even one section of a room if the whole room is too overwhelm-

ing) and take a day or a weekend to organize, fi le or throw out what you no longer need that is taking up space in that area. Second, put your wardrobe on an elimina- tion diet! Experts say that if you haven’t worn something in over a year then get rid of it. Donate it to Goodwill or a local consignment or thrift shop. Third, trim down your to-do list. Take a good hard look at your list of projects, tasks, and errands to run on a weekly basis. If you have things on there that you know you won’t get to for months, cross them off and feel the weight lifted from your shoulders.

Cool things happening this month! I’m excited to announce that I will be a judge at the 86’D Culinary Collision event on April 17th – location and details won’t be announced until a few days before the event – but watch our Facebook page for all the information. It’s open to the public, but tickets sell out fast – get yours here at https://www.86dculinarycollision.com.

Imagine being able to go to one location to see your Naturopath or Integrative

Physician, Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, Acupuncturist, Nutritionist, Hypnotist, Yoga Instructor, Intuitive Healer and more? That place is fi nally here! Bridge Healing Arts Center (BHAC) opened in March and is Connecticut’s fi rst all-inclusive, syner- gistic holistic health center housed in an impressive 8,000 square foot complex on an expansive 7-acre campus nestled in the beautiful Farmington Valley. With over 60 rooms for treatment and offi ce space, patients and clients will have one-stop shop- ping for just about any type of holistic practitioner. Check it out at www.bridgehac. com.

Other events not to miss: The Southern CT women’s show on April 30th at the

Trumbull Marriott will be a great day to pamper yourself and get some nice gifts for Mom. If you celebrate Easter, I hope you get all of your Easter goodies at Divine Trea- sures Chocolates in Manchester – they’re Vegan, Gluten-Free, Socially Responsible and Delicious! Happy Spring!
