Trends Hiring & Retaining School Bus Drivers: Do Raises Work?
This month’s reader survey studied the issue of how to retain and hire new drivers. Much of it focused on the hot-button issue of whether or not slightly raising pay would make a measurable difference in retaining and hiring drivers. The results show that an additional $1 or $2 per hour could often help make the difference. Our survey was administered via email to 8,476 readers and resulted in a total of 486 submitted responses.
