Pete Marini started in 1996 as a mechanic on the floor for a


year and a half and gradually ascended to his current posi- tion as head mechanic for Fairport Central School District near Rochester, New York. Director of Transportation Peter Lawrence, also a member of the NAPT Board of Directors said

He said he has known his guys for 20 years, during which the staff has become family, so there isn’t a need to micromanage. With experience as the past co-chair of Fairport’s CSD response team and active West Walworth Fire Department Volunteer, Marini said he continues to seek new ways to deliver exceptional service as well as to partner with other departments to minimize costs to taxpayers.
