Adaptable boat storage racks D

esigned by Nautipark of France to meet the needs of marinas and boatyards after a dimensional statistical

study of over 200 boats, Rack’Up was created to provide adaptable storage for all types of boats. The racking system can be built to accommodate craft on either two or three levels. The racking system provides

immediate access to motorboats,

which are easy to place and then retrieve from their allocated position. Pre-inclined battens avoid rainwater being retained within craft when stored. Rack’Up meets Eurocode structural

design regulations and due to the double centre axle of its battens, stability of the cradle is increased. The racking can be up to 3.8 m wide and there are three possible recess

heights. It can support a weight of up to 5 tons and is suitable for boats with either inboard or outboard engines.

Fenders for jetties

The MX-series heavy duty concrete pontoons from A-Laituri of Finland are both stable and durable with a minimum life expectancy of 50 years as they are designed to withstand demanding conditions in Arctic seas and lakes. The pontoons are particularly

suitable for use as service docks, as well as providing high-quality berths

and landing stages for private use. Using fl exible joints, they can be connected in a row, side by side or in T or L confi gurations. MX pontoons can be fi tted with

either a wooden or a concrete deck. The company also off ers a concrete deck with a wood or rock design of pattern (patent applied for).

MARINA EURO-REPORT • DECEMBER 2016 Standard dimensions available

Compared to similar rubber products, Polytec Thelen GmbH is confident that its polyurethane jetty fenders are a better choice. All the company’s jetty fender types are fully resistant to abrasion and are unaffected by seawater or UV light. Due to the construction of their special air chambers, the jetty fenders exhibit excellent damping and break elongation values. Their chemical and

mechanical properties allow them to be secured to the end of finger piers (see picture) for many years without needing maintenance. Polytec Thelen GmbH office@polytec-thelen.com www.polytec-industrial.com
