Description IRAN
1876-1950 Mint and used collection in two large binders. The collection contains 971 stamps and 46 covers or cards. As many of the stamps come from the period which has been reprinted or forged it is difficult to evaluate these, however there are plenty of sets that have not been reprinted. The covers and cards include many commercial covers, 1919 cover to Bombay with India 2a6p blue tied Bushire pmk, 1925 First Flight Cover Teheran to Bouchir, 1929 First Flight Cover Teheran to Meched, 1942 covers to and from India with British and Russian censors. The collection is well written up including historical notes. A most interesting lot which could prove profitable for the enterprising E Bay trader as sanctions against Iran have now been lifted, and Iranian stamps may now be traded. CORRECTION - We are advised that sanctions are still in place at eBay as of 26/09/16 A HEAVY LOT - OVERSEAS BIDDERS PLEASE ENQUIRE FOR SHIPPING COSTS US ...................................................... £445
