Anniversary, having first opened for business on 2 May 1966. Since then, Glasgow Airport has established itself as a key component of Scotland’s transport infrastructure, supporting more than 7,300 jobs. For the past 50 years, it has played a pivotal role in connecting Scotland with the world. In 2015, the airport secured 30 new routes and services and it has launched a further 16 new services in 2016. Tis has included the arrival of flag carriers Air France and Air Canada Rouge, cementing Glasgow’s position as Scotland’s principal long-haul airport.
