Voluntaries – American choreographer Glen Tetley’s stun- ning tribute to the mysteries of life elegantly contrasts soaring artistry with intimate moments of contemplation and resignation. April 29-May 1 The Spring Series

Joshua L. Peugh’s Dark Circles Contemporary Dance’s Spring Series provides audiences the chance to see Peugh’s most ambitious work to date: he will re-imagine Igor Stravinsky’s masterwork The Rite of Spring. Set in a 1950’s gymnasium, this new creation will use the iconic rite of passage for American teenagers—senior prom—as a vehi- cle with which to reinvent Stravinsky’s self-described “solemn pagan rite.” To round out the program, DCCD has commissioned a world pre- miere by up-and-coming Italian choreographer Fabio Liberti. Liberti, a native of Torino and current dancer for Danish Dance Theatre— one of Northern Europe’s leading companies—has collected top prizes at international choreography competitions including Copenhagen International Choreography Competition and Hannover International Choreography Competition. April 29-30, 2016 at 8:00 pm and May 1 at 2:00 pm at the Erma Lowe Hall, Studio Theatre Texas Christian University, 3000 S. University Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76129. $12- 20. www.DarkCirclesContemporaryDance.com/
