April 8-10 Cinderella

LakeCities Ballet Theatre presents its 2015-16 season finale, Cinderella. This time honored classical ballet is choreographed by LBT Artistic Director Kelly Kilburn Lannin. Featured in the season finale is LBT senior member Madeline Hanly, dancing in the lead role as Cinderella. This enchanting story, where good overcomes evil, tells the tale of the beautiful maiden Cinderella, who is placed into the servitude of her evil step-mother and two step-sisters after the untimely death of her father. Through the help of her enchanted fairy god-mother, she is able to leave her humble home and attend a grand ball hosted by the King in honor of the Prince. While under a spell, her ragged clothes become a beautiful dress and her bare feet become adorned in perfectly fitting glass slippers. She is, indeed, the belle of the ball! But, at the stroke of midnight, the enchantment ends and she must make a hasty retreat. In the turmoil, she leaves behind a glass slipper. The Prince must now search his kingdom for the girl that has stolen his heart with only a single slipper made of glass to find her. April 8-9, 2016 at 7:30 pm and April 10 at 2:00 pm at MCL Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street, Lewisville, TX 75057. $20. www.lakecitiesballet.org/
