Best of Swift Current Sentiments helping ‘beautify’ Swift Current

Staff at Sentiments Home & Design are helping clients make their spaces more beautiful and better reflect the styles of each individual — and they’re good at it. Sentiments was voted Best Home Decor Store in this

year’s Best of Swift Current online contest sponsored by Prairie Post.

Elsie Holderbein has owned the business the past three

years, but it has been in existence for more than 16 years. It employs six people including interior decorators and sales consultants. “It was an honour to be chosen by our community for

this award,” says Holderbein, about the Prairie Post’sBest of Swift Current initiative. “We love what we do, we have the best clients ever.”

The business is no stranger to the awards circuit,

having won the Small Business of the Year award from the Chamber in October of 2013. One reason for the business’s success is the diversity of the product lines available that appeal to all different styles and taste of the customers. The staff know just how to display those items for the greatest appeal. “Sentiments is committed to sharing ideas that reflect all styles, from contemporary to traditional. It is an incredible privilege to have staff work alongside of you to build and support you’re vision,” explains Holderbein. “The staff at Sentiments all play a part in creating vignettes and displays that interest and inspire our clients.” The business also boasts an in-store design centre to assist customers in planning and creating the perfect space that reflects each individual and his or her lifestyle. “Our sales staff are always ready to help you with co-ordinating the perfect look or finding that perfect gift. Our certified interior decorators are trained and skilled in new builds, renovations, space planning and custom furniture selection,” explains Holderbein. “If you need help finding the perfect sectional, selecting a great piece of art or creating a new look, our decorators are eager to share options and ideas with you.” Sentiments carries a broad range of kitchen, bedding and bath accessories. The employees help transform the displays in the store with the same frequency as the seasons change. “From our spring-time theme of creating beautiful outdoor spaces to celebrating the Christmas season with a complete store makeover — the staff at Sentiments love change,” adds Holderbein. Other changes have also benefitted the business including expanding the space it occupies in the plaza shopping centre and the furniture lines and accessories available. The consulting and design services have also expanded to include residential and commercial application.

“In 2015 Sentiments will be providing residential and commercial lighting to Saskatchewan southwest,” says
