NEW DEDICATION ODE FOR LODGE INSTALLATION
There aren't many occasions when new masonic poetry or music is published, so it is with great pleasure that arena learned of the this new Installation Ode, composed by W. Bro Ogun Macauley, Organist of Brockley Lodge No. 4650. We wish Bro. Macauley and the brethren all the best as they sing the Ode (designed to be sung to the tune 'Melita')!
Great Architect of the Universe Pour down your Grace on us we pray. The brethren gathered here today To bring our grateful thanks and joy For this our master in the chair On this our Installation day
Direct and guide our Master new. Wisdom profound to him outpour With justice may he rule this Lodge; Assisted by his Wardens all. Support from three great lights be found Bringing new hope and love and peace.
The first great light the path to show The Square and Compasses to aid Blessing and honour, praise to thee; The great Masonic light of all. Unite us in your love we pray And make us work like Masons free.
And now O father mindfully We dedicate this lodge to thee Descend and bless our members all Protect your children everywhere That we may live to sing thy praise With hearts and minds and tuneful voice.
