ne of the greatest things about putting together a guide such as Eating Out Wales is the fact that it allows Mike and I the
chance to see the very best cooking that’s on offer here in south Wales. It’s great to see new food trends coming through
and it’s always a pleasure to meet new chefs and restauranteurs. And of course, it’s always wonderful to try the food that’s given to us to photograph. Without doubt, the big trend that’s coming
through this year is keeping it local; buying local produce from local businesses and supporting the local economy. There really is a fi rm emphasis on restaurants serving food that has been bought from a farmer or supplier ‘down the road’ and that’s something we absolutely love! We hope that you enjoy this year’s Eating
