Welcome to the latest issue of Volga-Dnepr Group’s Cargo Supermarket magazine, which aims to bring our customers and partners around the world up- to-date with the latest activities of our group of companies.


This issue celebrates a very special milestone for the Group, the 10th anniversary of our scheduled cargo airline, AirBridgeCargo Airlines. Excuse the pun but the first 10 years of ABC have literally flown by and today the airline is busy working on the next stage of its development in terms of continuing to upgrade its Boeing 747 all-cargo fleet, increasing frequencies on its existing routes, and opening new routes.


The Group is extremely proud that ABC’s 10th birthday has coincided with shippers in Asia voting AirBridgeCargo as ‘Best All Cargo Airline’ in the 28th Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards, which were presented last month in Shanghai at a special awards ceremony attended by hundreds of industry leaders. This award is testimony to the progress ABC has made and to its consistent drive to improve the quality of its performance.


In this issue you can read about ABC’s plans to add more B747-8 freighters to its feet and its plans to increase its services in


the United States and mainland China.


Our second key focus is on Volga-Dnepr Airlines’ leading position in the aerospace market and looks at the work we do with international aircraft, helicopter, engine and satellite manufacturers, and other suppliers within this dynamic industry.


We look back at some of the aerospace shipments we have carried and speak to four of our aerospace specialists in the UK, Russia and the United States for their insight into the market.

We call it our ‘cargo supermarket’ and this combines a fleet of aircraft from our giant An-124-100 freighters, Boeing 747Fs and IL-76TD-90VDs to Boeing 737Fs. Added to this is the expertise of our Engineering and Logistics Centre, which creates solutions for our customers’ most complex logistics requirements and can deliver a total end- to-end logistics solution.
