Sheriffs from across the state observe the Senate Floor debate concerning HB1829 and HB1841, now Acts 1281 and 1283 of 2013. This legislation adjusted bail bonds fees in the state and provided a funding source for the Domestic Peace Fund administered by the Arkansas Child Abuse/ Rape/Domestic Violence Commission.


Justice Goodson swears in AAC Board of Directors


Arkansas Supreme Court Jus- tice Courtney Hudson Goodson officially swears in Mike Jacobs as Association of Arkansas Counties Board of Directors President. Jacobs has served the AAC as its president for 14 years. He is also the Johnson County Judge.


“I’m honored to be here today with all of you,” Goodson said. “It’s a pleasure to work with such great county officials.”


Judy Beth Hutcherson is officially sworn in as Board Secretary/Treasurer on the AAC Board of Directors in mid-February. Hutcherson is the Clark County Trea- surer and has served on


the AAC board of directors for two years.
