9 MITCHELL'S GROVE NATURE PRESERVE

This 2,816-acre park features its namesake, a 200-foot-tall pillar of sandstone, which provides an extraordinary view of the river valley. More than 15 miles of trails course through spectacular canyons and a rugged forest-covered landscape.
