LENS

The NEX-EA50EH is equipped with Sony’s E-mount interchangeable lens system, which allows for auto focus, auto exposure and stabilisation during shooting. Sony said its short fl ange back distance means it is possible to attach A-mount lenses via the LA-EA2 lens mount adapter, while third-party adapters can be used to attach lenses from other manufacturers. The camera comes with the newly developed Power Zoom E-mount lens E PZ 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 OSS SELP18200.

STILL-IMAGE CAPTURE

The camcorder can capture 16.1 megapixel JPEG images and has a built-in mechanical shutter to eliminate shutter-induced blur during long exposures.

FORM FACTOR

The extendable shoulder pad provides added stability for longer shooting times. When the shoulder pad is returned to its original position, the camcorder can be used as a handheld device.
