Several of its dancers received scholarships at the conclusion of the 5-day festival including Allyson March, Suade Cunningham-Scott, Kendall Glasgow, Morgan Evans, Rayleigh Vendt and Courtlyn Hanson.

Jonathan Campbell, graduate of Booker T. Washington HSPVA and The Juilliard School, and Austin Diaz formed MADboots last year. The success of their emerging dance company won them an invitation to perform in the Alto Jonio Dance Festival in Italy in July 2012.

The New York Baroque Dance Company gave simultaneous per- formances on the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico and at the Palace of Frederick the Great in Sanssouci June 8-10, 2012. All performances were within hours of each other (depending on your time zone). The company of 20 performers, under the artistic direction of Catherine Turocy, includes Valerie Shelton Tabor, Glenda Norcross, Matthew Buffalo and Alexis Silver.
