2. A 19th century vampire-slaying kit will be just one of the unusual pieces for sale at Tennants on June 22.
The kit can be dated to a period after Bram Stoker wrote the famous novel Dracula in 1897, which popularised vampires and possibly brought about the production of kits such as this one. It includes a mahogany casket that contains a mallet and stakes, percussion cap pistol, steel bullet mould, rosary beads, crucifix, glass bottles and a prayerbook dating back to 1857. Estimate: £1500-£2000 Contact 01969 623780

3. Seldom appearing at auction, this very rare English, Longton Hall porcelain figure
of Guanyin, c.1750 will be offered at Chorley’s June 28, ceramics-focused sale in Gloucestershire. At 4¾in (12cm) high, the piece is known as a ‘Snowman’ figure, named because of the thick white glaze that blurs any fine detail, giving a highly finished and smooth quality. Estimate: £2000-£3000 Contact 01452 344499
