The earlier part of the game was full of showmanship as there were dunks after dunks from Lebron James, Andre Iguodala, Blake Griffin Dwayne Wade and more, but with the West ex- tending the lead, the game took another turn.
The second half started after a very energetic performance by music star Pitbull, followed by Chris Brown and Neyo, in- tensely, as the Eastern Conference fought back. In fact, the comeback by the East was so rugged that Kobe Bryant suf- fered a broken nose after being rough handled by Dwayne Wade. But the injury and bleeding on the court couldn’t deter Kobe from breaking Michael Jordan’s All-Star scoring record.
After the final whistle it was the west with 151 points over the East with 149 points and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder taking home the All-Star MVP hardware.
