nationally. The village celebrates him each year with ‘Giant Bradley Day’ and a house specially built to accommodate him still stands in the village.
THE SITE: Before the development works began, the site was a combination of unused land and additional garden space owned by Market Weighton residents. Following the impressive progress on site, one of the sold homes is reserved by a neighbour who has decided to move onto the small, intimate community after being attracted to its sensitive design.
CONSULTATION: Unlike with a standard development - where David Wilson Homes would engage in a programme of comprehensive public consultation with residents ahead of the build – this development was a little different. David Wilson acquired this site
from Lovel Developments following its own consultation process, meaning all plans were approved and shared with the local community already.
CONSTRUCTION: Construction at Bradley Park

commenced on 6th December 2010. The task was made easier as there were no existing buildings, just gardens and unused land to be prepared. Works moved swiftly and it wasn’t long before the site was launched to rousing response from eager buyers. Francesca Burke, sales advisor
at Bradley Park, said: “Bradley Park is a really exciting post. The combination of such a small,
intimate development combined with never before seen home styles makes the whole buying experience even more intersting for buyers. “Bradley Park really is a one
off and buyers are drawn to knowing that owning here is like nothing else we offer as a brand, plus, the development resides in a stunning location with excellent access to the rest of the region.”
OCCUPANCY & THE FUTURE: Six of the 39 homes are currently occupied and the remaining works are on-going. The development is scheduled to complete within the next twelve months.
