Last year the company introduced Abalone shell, chosen for its strength and unique blend of colour. This year Aqua Stone are excited to be able to offer clients a range of coloured glass finishes. The decorative glass beads are slightly angular in shape, to reflect light better, but are smooth to the touch – providing a similar feel to the pebble. By combining our pebble colour pallet of eight colours with the glass, they provide a unique, personal finish to any pool.
Pebble Tec, is a non tile alternative which gets rave reviews from pool builders who use it. It is a pebble finish imported from Australia, a low- maintenance aggregate interior finish created – as the name suggest with pebbles.
Pebble Tec is imported under licence into the UK, Channel Islands and Ireland by Aqua Stone Pool Finishes Ltd. A conventional tiled pool takes four to six weeks to tile – first applying waterproof rendering then tiling. In contrast, a pebbled pool can be pebbled in two to three days, and then be filled ready for use. A clear, consistent water colour is achieved with the resilient and long lasting pebble finish. While the pebble finish is great for new pools the 33mm Pebble Tec finish is ideal for refurbishments. Pebble Tec is created with pebbles from around the world that are selected for their colour and beauty. This stain-resistant surface has a natural, non-slip texture. Small, sea-eroded pebbles are graded to 1mm or 3mm for Pebble-Stone.
WAXMAN PROMOTES BESPOKE MOSAIC SERVICE

The design of this stunning pool in the heart of Chelsea is quite dramatically offset with mirrored walls, a suspended teak bench, a dry bonded black slate wall and large format porcelain tiles.
A subtle engineered design feature is the unseen vertical supply air grille located at the junction of a mirrored wall to the atrium glazing. It is part of a complete residential refurbishment and is located in an extension created beneath the 30 metre garden accessed from the main house.
The client design brief to the architect was to create a ground level illusion with the help of light and space to the underground building by means of natural light slots and an atrium with a sunken garden. Careful detailing and a limited but striking palette with interesting textures draws the eye through a sequence of spaces that link the house and pool. With the swimming pool dimensions limited

to 9.2m x 3.7m x 1.35m constant depth because of the city centre location, interest is created inside the pool by specialist Wibre halogen lighting and sculptured elements including a side bench, steps and a fractional drop at the shallow end.

A bespoke mosaic design service is available where customers choose from a range of hand- made mosaic motifs or they can send in their own design which is converted into an individual work of art.
