The Ottawa River Runners Whitewater Club The Ottawa River Runners Whitewater Club Inc.(ORR) is an organization dedicated to whitewater paddling. We provide an introduction to the sport and ongoing development, with a range of opportunities for paddlers of all ages and abilities to pursue and achieve their personal paddling goals in a safe, supportive, respectful, and responsible environment.

YCCC – Ottawa’s Canoe Camping Club The National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA Canoe Camping Club (YCCC) has been offering low cost volunteer-driven canoe tripping and training since 1952. We run co-operative trips where everyone gets involved. Environmentally friendly camping, car pooling and safety are YCCC hallmarks. The club currently has around 300 members who organize hundreds of trips & training events each season. Membership gives you access to our equipment (including our fleet of the latest in whitewater and flatwater canoes) & full access to our website where we post the information on events for all ages & skill levels: From beginner workshops, relaxed evening paddles, day trips and easy-going weekends to world-class training and extended wilderness expeditions.

The Alpine Club of Canada – Ottawa Section The Ottawa section has a prolific hiking program that caters to all levels, from beginner to seasoned veteran. At least one hiking trip is scheduled every weekend, and much of the time there are several trips to choose from, both in the Ottawa area and further a field. Hiking takes place all year long; when the snow flies, we just strap on the skis and snowshoes.

The Ottawa New Edinburgh Club (ONEC) The Ottawa New Edinburgh Club has been offering lessons, daycamps and club memberships in rowing, sailing and tennis since 1883. ONEC is one of the oldest boating clubs in Canada with a historic boathouse that is one of only four in Canada. Its history is interwoven with that of the City of Ottawa itself and continues to play a role in the social and athletic development of our community. It has long been a meeting place for Ottawa’s sportspeople. They are a non-profit organization. .

The Coureurs de Bois The Coureurs de Bois (CDB) is a recreational whitewater paddling club operating in and around Ottawa, Canada. They have many informal river trips and frequently paddle the world class Ottawa River as well as other rivers in Ontario, Quebec, and NY. If you have taken a kayaking course and are looking for people to paddle with, join our very active membership.

The Ottawa Sports & Social Club The OSSC provides co-ed, recreational sport leagues, tournaments and social events for active adults. These leagues and events are a great way to get exercise, meet friends, expand your social circle, or learn a new sport. All games are co-ed and self officiated.
