Myrto Lefkopoulou High-School Com-
petition Award in Probability: This award
is presented annually to the high-school
student with the best score in a special
competition in probability, which is part
of the annual Pan-Hellenic Mathematics
Competition, “Archimedes,” organized by
the Hellenic Mathematical Society.
Best Statistics Paper Award for Young
Statisticians: Presented to a young
statistician with the best paper during the
GSI annual conference, this award was
proposed and granted by N. Balakrishnan
of McMaster University, who is an
honorary member of GSI.
GSI Activities
The Annual General Assembly of GSI is
held every February prior to the annual

organization of GSI’s annual conference in
association with an academic institution.
