Tuesday 16
Take advantage of one of two complimentary tours to find out more about San Juan’s history and culture. The first takes in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico’s oldest settlement dating back to the 16th century, and Fort San Cristobal. The second free tour visits the Bacardi Rum Distillery in San Juan Harbor. Alternative paid tours include a half-day trip to El Yunque Rainforest or a catamaran snorkel sail adventure.
Wednesday 17
The Registration, Diary Advice and Networking area opens at 12.30pm in the Puerto Rico Convention Center in time for the Routes Americas Strategy Summit starting at 2pm. The summit will give valuable insight into the key air service development issues affecting commercial aviation across the entire Americas region and will include two panel discussions and a keynote interview.
A Welcome Reception hosted by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company starts at 6.30pm at the landmark El Capitolio, home of the island’s House of Representatives and the Senate and just outside the walls of Old San Juan.
Thursday 18
The event opens at 8am in the convention centre in time for the first face-to-face meetings, beginning at 8.30am in the Airline Meeting Hall. Lunch at 12.35pm will provide further more relaxed networking opportunities before the face-to-face meetings resume at 2pm.
Hosted again by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, the Networking Evening starts at 7.30pm at the Caribe Hilton Hotel which offers stunning views over the Atlantic. The evening will also see the Routes Americas Marketing Awards held at 8pm and guests are encouraged to dress Caribbean-casual with a touch of white.
Friday 19
Our area at the convention centre opens again at 8am in time for a second day of face-to-face meetings from 8.30am in the Airline Meeting Hall. A networking lunch and Handover Ceremony will be held from 12.35pm to 2pm before the last of the face-to-face meeting sessions, ending at 4.25pm.
