Graduate Employment Based Route to Early Years Teacher Status
Developed for graduates who are already working in an early years setting, whether at the start or mid-stages of their employment, this course provides the knowledge and training needed to lead practice with babies and young children from birth to the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Research shows that the quality of early education and childcare provision is higher when practice is led by specially trained early years graduate teachers. This one year part time course includes a postgraduate certificate and will lead to the recommendation of Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) on successful completion.

Graduate Entry Route to Early Years Teacher Status
The Graduate Entry Route is for graduates who would like to train as early years teachers and work with children from birth to the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will develop your teaching practice with babies, toddlers and young children through placements in early years settings and acquire the knowledge and skills needed to lead and support other practitioners. Through this, you will make a lasting, positive impact on children’s wellbeing and development. The course is full time for one year and includes a postgraduate certificate. It leads to the recommendation of Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) upon successful completion.

You won’t be required to pay fees for our Early Years Initial Teacher Training degrees (both routes) as they are funded by the National College of Teaching and Leadership (NCTL)
