MA Comparative Drug and Alcohol Studies
Gain the knowledge and skills required to investigate and analyse substance use and addiction, and user responses, from a unique multi-disciplinary and cross-national perspective. This course will expand your knowledge and understanding of issues, policies and interventions within a comparative context; especially attractive to those working in or entering the field. The programme is offered part-time via distance learning with one intensive face-to-face study week per year. It is delivered by experts at four universities in Europe (UK, Denmark, Italy and Spain) with opportunities to study in partner universities or undertake placements in European and international agencies, such as the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA). Opportunities exist for career development through work-based learning approaches and internships.
