1. Research course fees and associated costs
It is advisable to carry out research into the costs associated with your course of interest to avoid any unpleasant surprises. In addition to the course fee, there may be further expenses that you incur. For instance, personal development training and academic resources.
You may also want to consider any extra costs such as travel expenses, accommodation costs and other day-to-day general living expenses.
2. Explore our scholarship opportunities
We offer a number of highly competitive scholarships to outstanding students looking to pursue postgraduate study with us.
For the past two years we have awarded up to 100 Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarships worth up to 50% of the master’s fee, to successful applicants who have achieved excellent academic grades and demonstrated great academic potential.
Middlesex alumni who seek to continue their studies with us automatically receive our Alumni Bursary; worth up to a 20% reduction in their postgraduate fees.
Additionally we offer a variety of School and subject-based scholarships, funded though the generosity of partner organisations and alumni.

3. Investigate external funding opportunities
Many trusts and charities also offer financial support for postgraduate students, although their application criteria can be very specific. Practitioners and applicants already in employment should consider funding opportunities through

their place of work as part of staff development programmes, especially if your course is part of our work based learning scheme.
Applicants looking to study teacher training, nursing, and social work may have access to government finance packages including tuition fee payment, maintenance loans and bursaries. Such financial support is reviewed annually.

4. Funding for international students
We are renowned for the financial support we offer international students through merit awards and bursaries. Eligibility and funding is dependent on your course, country and application. We encourage all international students to check with the Ministry of Education in your home country to see what funding opportunities might be available from your own government.

5. Flexible payment plans
For any course with an annual fee of £1,500 or greater, we offer our UK/EU postgraduate students the opportunity to pay course fees over six equal instalments. You can pay through recurring credit or debit card payments from October to March if you start your course in October, or February to July if you choose to start your course in January.
We also offer a shorter payment plan of 50% instalments split between the first day of term and January, or April if you start your course in January. Alternatively you can select a one-off payment of your full fees at the start of your course.
