What are the key features and benefits of the new Tour X Laser Rangefinder and NEO Ghost GPS devices? The Tour X Laser Rangefinder is the only device on the market to feature innovative Exchange Technology. It has two interchangeable faceplates, meaning the one device can give slope-adjusted yardages during practice, whilst also being tournament legal. With the red faceplate engaged, the Tour X uses Bushnell’s patented Slope Technology to gives yardages adjusted for gradient. This makes it perfect for practice, giving golfers real distances, allowing them to develop their clubbing and work out exactly which club to hit. With the black faceplate engaged, this slope-adjusted function is removed, making it fully legal for tournament use. Whereas previously golfers required two separate devices to perform these roles, the Tour X now offers both functions in one device. With the NEO Ghost GPS, the focus is on giving accurate, simple distances. It provides all the information you need, with distances to the front, centre and back of the greens, as well as up to four hazards a hole, all within a compact device that can be clipped onto your bag. It also features Auto Course Recognition and Auto Hole Advance, making it even simpler to get the correct yardages at your fingertips throughout your round.
Are there any subscription fees involved with the new devices? That’s one of the other main benefits with the NEO Ghost. There are no subscription fees or downloads required; it is preloaded with 33,000+ courses worldwide, making it ready to take to the course straightaway. However it can easily be fully updated with one plug-in session with your PC.
Will you be providing any POS material to aid the sell-through of the new range? We currently provide a free four-piece POS display to showcase our product range. This would be particularly true if we were to see the rule change come into effect, as laser rangefinders become increasingly invaluable tools for professional and club golfers alike. As the market leader, this is likely to be a good thing for us, spurring on continued growth within DMD users.
