Bushnell cement ‘Global Positioning’ with 2015 range
With the impending launch of two new products from Bushnell, SGB caught up with managing director Andrew Grose to find out the inside track
Tell us about the Bushnell brand and how it came to be trusted as the market leader for rangefinders? Originally Bushnell produced binoculars, hunting scopes and other
performance optics. We then developed laser rangefinders which were initially used for hunting, but then started being taken out on the golf course, when caddies on professional tours began to see the benefits of using them and that is when the golf side of the business was truly born. Our extensive expertise in the field of
performance optics, and distance measuring devices in general, is one of the reasons that we are ahead of the rest in the market. Because we have been producing performance optics since 1948, we know how to develop technology that makes a meaningful difference, and our commitment to golf specifically in more recent times assures golfers that we can offer real benefits for their game.
What sets the brand apart from other competitor brands? We take pride in the exacting standards of our
products and the consistent quality that defines the Bushnell brand. Our strong heritage in sports optics gives us the perfect foundation to build and develop our market leading products.

performance optics industry. I was the sales and marketing manager for Bollé in the mid ‘90s. When Bushnell bought the company in 2001, I took on the role of managing director for Bushnell in the UK and have been in the position ever since.
